Art Bowl Workshop in Late April
In this class we will build a three-dimensional square fabric bowl that can be constructed in different sizes, using many forms of fiber and embellished in a wide variety of ways. Minimum student age is 14.
All materials provided in $75 class fee. Participants can bring (or purchase from Doc's) their own fabric if desired. Students receive a handout to take home if you want to make more bowls. List of what to bring is provided before class.
Tools (All tools are available in class but you may bring your own)
? Sewing Machine and needles 80/12 (standard weight) or 90/14
(medium weight); seams may also be hand sewn.
? Cutting mat, rotary cutter, quilting ruler 24” or longer with ¼” clear
marked surface
? Iron, ironing board and non-stick ironing surface (parchment paper or
silicon)
? Cloth marker pencil
? Seam pins or clips
? Seam ripper
? Square ironing block
? Corner template

? 72F Peltex II made by Pellon- Two sided fusible ultra-firm interfacing
? Material – printed, dyed, woven or felted
? Matching sewing machine or hand sewing thread
? Any desired embellishment materials
